CORSICA – CLOS FORNELLI
Clos Fornelli thrives on the mineral-rich terraces of Bravone, shaped by centuries of erosion from the Castagniccia massif, nestled between sea and mountains. These soils, rich in schist, quartz, and granite, infuse the vines with a unique mineral complexity.
Under the passionate leadership of Josée Vanucci, Clos Fornelli exclusively cultivates native Corsican grape varieties. Sciaccarellu, Niellucciu, Vermentinu, and rare gems like Biancu Gentile and Genovese creates wines that celebrate the rich vinodiversity of the island, while adapting to the changing climate.
Josée and her husband Fabrice are committed to cultivating their 30-hectare vineyard without irrigation, ensuring the vines reach deep into the soil for water and nutrients. By avoiding herbicides and focusing on compost and cover crops, they preserve the life of the soils. This ecological approach not only respects the environment but also ensures the true mineral character of their wines shines through.
Vino Social Club is proud to introduce Clos Fornelli’s wines to importers across the world.
